Huntley Street
Huntley Street returned to two-way traffic in November 2017 and albeit for some planned night time road closures, this will not change until we finish our work.
We’ve largely completed the relocation of telecommunications, water, gas and electricity services and are now working on the new bridge deck on the southern side of Huntley Street. This will allow us to complete the new bridge to replace the existing bridge that has almost reached its lifespan.
We expect all our work to be finished in September 2019.

Sheas Creek
We've widened the Sheas Creek stormwater channel between Maddox Street and Alexandra Canal.
This work involved:
excavating along the existing open channel along Sheas Creek, between Maddox Street and Alexandra Canal
building a brand new, shared pedestrian and cycle path. This path will connect Maddox Street to Alexandra Canal
diverting and relocating existing utility services in Huntley Street so we could widen and replace the bridge
removing the culverts under the bridge to accommodate flood waters ( see picture)
