Malabar Water Resource Recovery Facility Plant - Fencing Project

We are installing new fencing around the Malabar Water Resource Recovery Facility. The new fencing will ensure the security of the facility and a substantial improvement to the aesthetics and amenity of the facility for residents and visitors.

Work has started and is expected to finish by September 2023, weather permitting.

The work will include:

  • revegetation around the Facility with native plants, information about the plants, and their traditional uses
  • construction of a concrete pathway, seating, and stairs leading into the National Park at the end of Fishermen’s Road
  • construction of an Indigenous yarning circle, Facility signage, and drinking water filling station located at the Fisherman’s Road entry to the Facility
