Bossley Park - lane closure, Prairie Vale Road and interruptions to water supply
As part of the Prospect to Macarthur (ProMac) project, we are upgrading the existing water pumping station inside Prospect Reservoir to provide drinking water services for 84,000 new homes in the South West Growth Area and Western Sydney Aerotropolis Growth Area.
As part of these works, we will be installing a valve on Prairie Vale Road, Bossley Park Thursday 4 November 2021, and expect to finish by the end of November 2021, weather permitting. These works will control the pressure of the water as it enters homes. There will also be a small electrical cabinet and pits installed on the council verge (please refer to the map). There will be an interruption to water supply during the final stages of work. Residents will be notified before this occurs.
Traffic changes
As we complete this work, there will be a temporary closure of the eastbound lane along Prairie Vale Road between Crow Place and Apache Road. All traffic will share the use of the westbound lane on a stop-slow arrangement. The footpath will be closed to pedestrians and traffic controllers will ask pedestrians to stop and wait before crossing the road.
Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are advised to observe all project signage and traffic control directions during construction. Please see map for the location of work.
Our work hours
- 7 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday
- 8 am to 1 pm on Saturdays
- We will not work on Sundays or public holidays.
