Currans Hill - crane mobilisation and steel deliveries to begin from Friday 17 February 2023
Site establishment is complete and we are now ready to start constructing the new reservoir.
A crane will be transported to site on Friday 17 February 2023. It will remain at the site until project completion.
From Monday 20 February 2023, we will start transporting steel components into the site.
This work will involve:
- grinding, cutting of steel and hammering steel panels into place
- transport of components using large heavy vehicles
- transport of a crane on the back of a heavy vehicle
- lifting sections of panels with the use of a crane.
Construction traffic and impacts
There will be an increase in truck movements while large deliveries are transported into the site, outside of peak hours. Delivery trucks will continue to use the route approved by Camden Council, via Turner Road, Ascot Drive and Manooka Road.
Most workers will park within the Sydney Water site, with about 10-12 people on site at a time. Some visitors to site may occasionally park in nearby streets.
