Currans Hill - reservoir demolition completed

As part of the Prospect to Macarthur project (ProMac) we are replacing the reservoir in Currans Hill so that it can reliably supply water to the community for decades to come. We dismantled the existing reservoir throughout March, April and May. We plan to start demobilising from the area on 16 May 2022, weather permitting. Stage 2 construction of the new reservoir will commence later this year, weather permitting. We will provide an update to the community once this has been confirmed.

Demobilisation works will involve:

  • removing site facilities
  • removing all remaining plant and machinery • undertaking environmental inspections.

Construction traffic and impacts

There will be an increase in construction traffic around Currans Hill while we demobilise. Residents can expect to see truck movements on Turner Road, Ascot Drive and Manooka Road.
