Kemps Creek - geotechnical investigations in council road verge along Martin Road and Overett Avenue

To help inform the planning and design progression of a new drinking water pipeline, Sydney Water has engaged AECOM Australia Pty Ltd (AECOM) to undertake geotechnical investigation work in the council road verge along Overett Avenue and Martin Road in Kemps Creek.

We will be undertaking geotechnical investigation work from Tuesday 15 August and will continue this work intermittently until the end of September 2023, weather permitting.

This work will involve:

  • drilling boreholes in the council road verge along Martin Road and Overett Avenue
  • detecting underground services/utilities
  • excavating test pits to assess geological conditions of the area
  • carrying out topographical surveys along Martin Road and Overett Avenue
  • restoring the impacted areas.

Construction traffic and impacts

There will be no road closures while we undertake this work. You may experience short traffic delays while heavy vehicles navigate through the suburb. Traffic control may be on site to assist with this work.

Our standard work hours

  • 7 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday
  • 8 am to 1 pm Saturday. We will not work on Sundays or Public Holidays.
