Menangle Park - works to begin inside Sugarloaf Pump Station, Monday 10 January 2022
As part of the Prospect to Macarthur (ProMac) project we are building a new drinking water pipeline between the Sugarloaf Pump Station in Menangle Park and the Narellan South Reservoir in Mount Annan, to provide drinking water services for 84,000 new homes in the South West Growth Area and Western Sydney Aerotropolis Growth Area.
We plan to start work inside Sugarloaf Pump Station on Monday 10 January 2022 to install a new water main. Please see map for the location of work.
Traffic changes
During the installation and removal of the temporary monitoring devices beside Menangle Road, we will maintain one lane of traffic on a stop-go arrangement. Traffic control will be in place to safely assist motorists around our work area.
There will be a higher volume of heavy traffic movements on Menangle Road as pipe and machinery is delivered to the Sugarloaf Pumping Station site. For the safety of motorists and workers, the speed limit on Menangle Road will be temporarily reduced to 60km an hour for some works, and 40 km an hour when workers are removing the vibration monitoring devices.
