What is the purpose of this project?

The key purpose of this project is to deliver new wastewater infrastructure to service new dwellings in the area and meet future predicted demand.

What is the project’s delivery timeline?

By mid-2024 Sydney Water expects to appoint a delivery contractor, with construction to follow. The wastewater infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2026, in line with the commissioning requirements for the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre at Kemps Creek.

How is it different or related to the Austral Leppington Wastewater Stage 3 Phase 1 project?

The Bonds Creek Extension will enable previously delivered wastewater infrastructure as part of the Austral Leppington project to be discharged to the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre at Kemps Creek. The expansion of the wastewater network will further increase servicing capacity for the network consistent with planned objectives.

How can I find out if this project can provide wastewater servicing to my property?

Please refer to our interactive Growth Servicing Maps on the Sydney Water Website, to see if your development falls within the servicing area for water and wastewater.

For owners of existing dwellings in the Stage 3, Phase 1 catchment, you have not been automatically allocated capacity.  You will need to engage a listed Water Servicing Coordinator (WSC) who can assist you with lodging an application to connect directly to our system.
