Construction activities and traffic impacts on Hopetoun Avenue in 2025

From Monday 13 January 2025 to Monday 17 February 2025, we will be delivering and installing pipes on Hopetoun Avenue. Water trucks will be periodically parked on Hopetoun Avenue to facilitate the removal of excess water until the end of July 2025.

To prepare for underground drilling, we will establish an exclusion zone on a section of the pedestrian path and nature strip on Hopetoun Avenue. This area will be used to unload pipework and install it along the closed pedestrian path leading to Parsley Bay Reserve. To help manage excess groundwater, water trucks will be temporarily parked on the shoulder of Hopetoun Avenue to connect to the and remove water as needed during our work. Up to 8 truck movements a day may be needed, depending on the volume of groundwater. Hopetoun Avenue will remain open to traffic and we will have traffic management in place to direct construction vehicles to our work area and to safely guide pedestrians and road users.

The work area on Hopetoun Avenue is shown on the map below.
