Vegetation removal and the installation of temporary amenities at Parsley Bay

As we start construction in the Parsley Bay car park we are undertaking initial vegetation removal, tree pruning and weed management from August 16, 2024 for 2 -3 days. This involves around 17 trees including a mix of mature and juvenile trees in proximity to the existing toilet block. We will protect adjacent trees to ensure there is no impact to their root systems.

From September 2024, the existing toilet block will be demolished in preparation for the new pump station and the excavation for the pump station will start in October 2024. You will be able to access temporary toilet and shower facilities in the park prior to the demolition of the existing toilet block.

Our work hours

Monday to Friday from 7 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm. If we need to work outside these hours, we will notify residents in advance.

The Reserve remains open to visitors, and you can access Parsley Bay via Horler Avenue, Fitzwilliam Road, Hopetoun Avenue and The Crescent.
